I believe in leadership from ourselves and respect from others. I believe in my own ability to work efficiently and think clearly, with such knowledge and skill as I can secure, and in the ability of progressive agriculturists to serve our own and the public interest in producing and marketing the product of our toil.
ReplyDeleteI think this paragraph means that leadership is very important and everyone can be there own leader, also respect is very important everyone needs to have respect for each other. Everyone has the ability to work and everyone that can work should, don't just let others do all the work you need to participate and help think. Not only our we serving ourselves we are serving the ones around us also. The younger generations are always watching and learning.

ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite paragraph of the creed just because it speaks out to everyone, not just FFA people. It's saying that we should lead others by example and respect others. But we also need to gain respect from others, in the right way. Also, we should be able to have a strong work ethic and use that by serving others.
I believe that to live and work on a good farm, or to be engaged in other agricultural pursuits, is pleasant as well as challenging; for I know the joys and discomforts of agricultural life and hold an inborn fondness for those associations which, even in hours of discouragement, I cannot deny.
ReplyDeleteI like this paragraph because I have lived and worked on a farm basically my whole life and I do know how it can be fun but challenging at times. It feels rewarding to know that the cattle we raise go off and become meat to help feed people, and the crops we grow help in that cycle as well. I feel grateful that I know a decent amount about agriculture so that I can recognize those associations that deal with agriculture and feel like a part of it.

ReplyDeleteIt is saying that leadership is important also respect other people and let them do what they want work in the way you will get it done right no fast and crapy and make the agricultural experience live on better in the future instead of letting it die.
