  1. I think all of my favorite years were in elementary school. We would go to the assisted living and do halloween activities with the elderly residents. You could tell that they really enjoyed seeing all of our costumes and even some of the residents would wear some little festive halloween things. It was really nice to do that for them. Then later that night we would go trick or treating with friends. I always loved going to Deryl and Pati's on halloween before I went home because they had the best candy.

  2. My favorite thing on Halloween would probably have to be all the years I went trick-or-treating with my brother and cousin. We would either dress alike or the boys would dress scary and I would dress on my own. My favorite costume would probably be the year I dressed as La-La the yellow teletubby. That was my favorite show as a kid and I remember being so excited to get to be able to wear that costume.

  3. My favorite costume would have to be when I was in fourth grade I was a bunny rabbit. I was dressed in all white and I had big black ears and a big black bushy tail. That was the last year I ever went trick or treating and I miss it because a lot of people thought I looked really cute.

  4. My favorite Halloween memory ever was a later one in my life. It wasn't dressing up as a youth, it wasn't decorating the house, it wasn't trick-or-treating. My favorite Halloween memory was Halloween of my 7th grade year. You see, in 7th grade, I was the host sister to Lena Bruning, my german sister. In Germany, Halloween is not highly celebrated. It was fun for me to share my culture with someone so unknowing to it. Halloween that year, we spent carving pumpkins. Lena was so funny. She hated the goopy guts inside the pumpkins, but she loved throwing them jokingly at my siblings and I. Needless to say the entire dining room was a mess. The laughter and love in that memory will always be dear to my heart.

  6. I always enjoyed Halloween at the Lutheran School. Everyone would bring their costumes to the school and then we would go to the hospital in Aurora and visit the elderly patients there. They always had little crafts to do and cookies to eat. I could tell the elderly patients loved when we were there and it made me happy to know that we made them happy. My favorite part of trick-or-treating was going to both of my grandparents house because they always let us take as much candy as we wanted and they always liked seeing our different costumes.
