Good Record keeping benefits The owner considers himself a reformed record-keeping farmer. I keep three categories of records: business, livestock and produce. Doing so has made my small farm more profitable and better positioned to grow. All farms, regardless of size, require sales and expenditure records to file accurate state and federal taxes. The box of receipts I mentioned a paragraph ago became a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet of tax-exempt agricultural purchases. I make a special note of equipment depreciation to deduct at tax time. So in shorter terms, its really important to keep good records and know whats going on in the farm.
Why are barns painted red? The reason that barns are painted red because of the chemistry of dying stars. The simple answer to why barns are painted red is because red paint is the cheapest. Red ochre—Fe2O3—is a compound of iron and oxygen that absorbs yellow, green and blue light and appears red. As soon as the star hits the 56 nucleon cutoff, it falls apart. So the moral of the story is because of the number of protons and neutrons of dying stars is 56 which allows you to make red paint. So red paint is the cheapest so most barns are painted red due to this reason.

Avian Flu Confirmed in California Turkey Flock Basically a bunch of turkeys in a facility that raises turkeys for people to eat got sick and a ton of people freaked out over it. But, the facility in Stanislaus County (California haha) has been quarantined, and birds from the affected flock will not enter the food system at all, so there's nothing to worry about. It's kind of like a strand of H1N1, but it's alled H5N8. And, this strand isn't even harmful to people, so even if those turkeys were eaten, there'd be no concern for people. Hopefully the turkeys will get better soon though!
