I think this quote means to fight for what you want, if you fight for what you want when you loose it it will hurt and be hard, If you don't fight for it when you loose it its not as hard and you just move on. If you truly fight for what you want when you loose it, sometimes it will make you fit even harder for it.
This means that you need to go all out in the beginning because then you are more likely to win, and if you don't win, then that motivates you to work harder because you're mad. Then when you win, its more exciting because your hard work paid off.
If you don't put your heart into what you're doing and care about it, you're not going to care how you end up doing. The more effort and heart you put in, the more you will get out of it.
You need to put your heart into the things you do. You don't enjoy winning and it doesn't mean as much if you don't like what you are doing. Losing isn't going to matter as much either so you aren't going to care. ou are just going to be there.
I LOVE THIS QUOTE. Mrs. Dunsmoor actually told it to me, after I came home from Minden, and I was steaming that I didn't final over a really bad speaker in a poetry round. She pointed out that my love for what I do is so strong, because I care so much, and I am so dedicated. That's what makes winning so awesome. The hard work you put into something makes the walk up the podium so much more exciting. If I was just kind of like "eh" about speech, then I'd come home after winning and toss my medal on the counter and move on. Not exciting. Or if I lost, I wouldn't care. But I'm not. I do care and I do work hard. The hard work is necessary to develop a passion for something, to keep things going, and to have that crazy magical feeling in your stomach when they say you're best in the state. It's awesome. So, guys, FIND A PASSION. Love it, work for it, and never tell yourself that losing was for no reason (find the reason and work to fix it.) or that winning was because you are perfect (there's always something you can fix.). I promise, it's worth it.
In basketball, if you hardly give an effort during practice and games, you probably won't care if you win or lose. If you show that you care and practice and play hard, then you're going to be very proud when you win, and very upset when you lose. Always give it 110%
If you aren't really trying then if you win its not as big of a deal and same if you lose. And it shouldn't be that way you should be excited if you win and sad if you lose.
