In order to be successful and achieve greatness, you have to work hard for it every day. And once you obtain it you can't stop working. You have to keep working for it every single day to be great.
I think this quote means greatness doesn't come easy its something you have to work for. People hold their heads up high and say their great but their really not. People need to try their best to become great and to become who they want to be, so this quote is saying try and don't give up.
You need to prove that you can do something not just say you can do something. You need to live up to your word. Don't just say something put it in to action. A lot of people say something but they don't do anything that follows what they said.
You can't just say, "I'm great," and be great. You have to PROVE you are. If you want people to think you're great, you need to work hard, and show your heart in everything that you do. Don't just talk the talk, walk the walk. :)
