I think this quote means that reading is a big part of education. When kids like to read this are easier, and if you read lots of things, things are easier to understand. I think that everyone needs to learn to read because it helps each and every one of us.
Who the heck is Habeeb Akande. Its a cool name. But I think that he is putting an emphasis on reading in life. Reading leads to writing and listening and it all branches off of that which leads to success.
Reading is good for you. It expands your brain and makes you more knowledgable. That will benefit you in life. So you should read more. You'll be more successful.
This means you have to be informed about issues in order to be able to solve them, which will lead you to success. I.e. "Jim" read in the newspaper that his community food bank was running low on stock, because donations were low. After reading, "Jim" could be a leader and arrange a food drive. Then (hopefully) the drive would be a success. Reading = Leadership = Success. And cool rhymes.
